Credit unions are owned by the people who save and borrow at them—there are no outside shareholders or profits.
As democratic institutions, credit unions succeed through VOLUNTEERS
The active involvement of volunteers is the cornerstone of the credit union philosophy. Your credit union’s policy-making Board of Directors, and its committees, are comprised of individuals elected by members. All of these volunteers are unpaid for their credit union service. They're people you may know, and can trust.
