Sun Center Federal Credit Union is a non-profit cooperative owned and operated by its members. For membership information, visit our Member page for details. Our credit union is managed by a Board of Directors, with input from member committees. The directors are members who are elected by our membership.
Over the last 30 years SCFCU has grown from offering savings and loans, to a full service financial institution.
Originally chartered by the FAA in Oberlin, in the mid 80's SCFCU began taking in Select Employee Groups to increase our core membership base. Many smaller credit unions were being merged in with much larger ones and thus losing their identity.
In July 2004, SCFCU was awarded a community charter, allowing membership to anybody living, working, attending school or worshiping in Lorain County.
Sun Center Federal Credit Union serves members through five conveniently located office locations.
